This lock down business has completely justified my never learning to cook as at no point in the last few weeks have I been inconvenienced by a shortage of basic ingredients.

On the whole, all things considered, and, weighing up the pros and cons, I preferred it when being a caretaker didn’t involve deciding if a hire has an acceptable risk of passing on a potentially deadly virus.

At least I didn’t have to cancel the staff Christmas meal.
