Mr Slater’s Parrot

Mr Slater's Parrot written in a jaunty all capital letters font

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away no one would have believed that fleeing from the Cylon tyranny the last Battlestar, Galactica, leads a rag-tag fugitive fleet on a five year mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out The Invaders, long nosed, pink, woolly creatures from a dying planet, their destination, the earth, their purpose, to tumble helplessly toward a new fantastic adventure somewhere along the infinite corridors of time…

The latest opus from MSP as heard on Phantom Circuit, ‘The Connoisseurs Choice’.

Tacked on the end is the unrepresentative last part of the Opus for those who can’t spare the eighteen minutes required to listen to the whole thing. Also being stripped of sound effects it does give the ear a clearer view.

Should you happen to like Openshaw then ‘On The Beach’ may be the EP to listen to next, or for something a little more guitar orientated try ‘The Pop Art Affair’.

T’other half of duo wanted an advert for the staff magazine. So against my better judgement…

Two people dressed for the beach in deckchairs in a snow tree bordered field watching Wizard Of Oz on television. A bedraggled Christmas tree stands to one side.

They didn’t use it.
