This month a mismash of shorter themes which wouldn’t have stretched to a whole show or would have made for a repetitious one.

As spice is the life of variety I’ve extended the originally planned theme from synthesizer derived Production Music to include tracks with sound manipulation of other sources.
A couple of errors – I’ve used short snippets of Augustyn Bloch’s Brain Work twice and the fourth track appears not to have been recorded for Library use.
The LPs listed are as far as possible the original source but recordings were sometimes reused so may have been from an earlier release. The original track description is used where available.

A collection of tunes with the distinctive disco beat.
Probably would have been better as a ‘Ninety Minute Disco Dance Party’ but that doesn’t scan so well.
If the embed doesn’t work go here.

Cover versions of Beatles’ Hits. Based on major UK & USA single releases.

In order of appearence…
As streamed on Beachy Head Radio
Link in case the embed has a funny turn.
This is mainly a collection of actors, writers and celebrities having a bash at knocking out a few tunes plus a couple of examples of people whose day job was originally music but are better known for what they did afterwards.
It’s designed as a sampler to prompt further exploration. Or at least that’s my excuse.

Those of a certain age may remember me posting English speakers attempting their songs in another language on this very site. Now, due to no public demand whatsoever, a whole collection of them have been broadcast under the the ‘Loud Hailers’ imprint on Beachy Head Radio.
These are mainly by the original artist but with the odd cover version thrown in for variety.
Possibly more of a background listen than the last one as many will be familiar and the foreign language the only novelty. I’ve included the original English title as we go along as well as the language or languages sung.

The first collection of Themed Music as part of a short series of compilations for Beachy Head Radio.
It streamed on 11th May and can now be found here.
All the music in this compilation was written by Ryuichi Sakamoto, alone or in collaboration. He was often also the Producer, Arranger, Performer or any combination of those roles. A handy utility player.
I wouldn’t qualify anywhere near the front of a grid of Sakomotorists and have but un peu de Japanese so there may well be errors below. I have though gone to the original releases for confirmation as far as possible.
*C* Composer
*P* Producer
*A* Arranger
*M* Performer
*G* Programmer
*X* Mixer
The prefix *c-* indicates a shared credit, eg. *c-P* = Co-Producer

On a whim. Songs from the olden days, or 2019 as it was known. Doesn’t include the ones I’ve forgotten.
Edited highlights. Some good joins. And one dreadful one that sneaked past quality control.
A good attempt by Language to miss out by releasing on 31st December and a special mention for Stefanie Schrank’s mastering engineer who didn’t just reach for the look ahead limiter.

A number of the bands have more active Facebook pages but I do have a few remaining principals.
N.B. Due to Mixcloud limiting the number of tracks from a single artist this might not play unless you’re a paying member of the site.
A fairly arbitrary collection from Köln based Locas In Love who have been pottering away in one form or another since the early years of the century.
According to their website translated by Google to English via Japanese: ‘often, we very much it.. usually good it is prohibited decency to write more’, which I can only agree with wholeheartedly. locasinlove.com. The website is non-https and a bit out of date so here’s their Bandcamp page as an alternative.
…From Hove presumably.
