Combining Music Weeklies & Monthly prompts for ‘mother earth’ and ‘an idea for an original game, movie or any kind of media product that you’d love to compose music for’ we get…
I Talk To The Trees
Man Of Arun – El Psy Kongroo (2023)
Possibly a suitable soundtrack for a long, slow, dialogue heavy, action light, 70s style post nuclear apocalypse movie that the critics rave over but is frankly a bit dull.
A track started in 2017 I’ve no memory of. Found in a folder named ‘Guitar Noises’ I’ve little idea of how I made them as I’d bounced the tracks down, probably to free up resources for more effects, and deleted the originals. I’d hazard a guess the filter parts are Adrenalinn.
It takes a long time to do very little but I like is so have finished it off.
The film excerpt from the Prelinger Archives is of a nuclear weapons test in Nevada between 1951 and 1957.
Man Of Arun – Andhrímnir – Caterer To The Gods! (BIWT No.11)
‘I should be so Loki, Loki Loki Loki’.
In which our hero strikes out against the tyranny of received musical form / wasn’t going to go up against Wagner thank you very much.
A return to the Music Weeklies challenge which on this occasion asked for a tune based on Norse Mythology. I may have failed on the tune aspect.

Loud Hailers #3 Don’t Give Up The Day Job?
As streamed on Beachy Head Radio
Link in case the embed has a funny turn.
This is mainly a collection of actors, writers and celebrities having a bash at knocking out a few tunes plus a couple of examples of people whose day job was originally music but are better known for what they did afterwards.
It’s designed as a sampler to prompt further exploration. Or at least that’s my excuse.

Man Of Arun – Pedalboard Revisions 67.09 & 78.12
I had to have some time off playing due to recurring shoulder and wrist problems so used it wisely to rebuild my pedalboards yet again.

Man Of Culture
A few weeks ago I did one of the Music Weeklies challenges but didn’t get the track finished fully by the deadline. So I’ve since filled it out a bit with bass, synth and effects as well as improving the mix a gnats.
