With the BBC into it’s ninth hour of live tennis coverage it’s very nearly time for the bout to start.

And I wonder how the tyre preserving contest is going in Germany?

I’m sticking to the bicycle racing myself; better scenery.

After that victory for Andy Murray we could well see tennis being played around the UK for as many as three weeks after Wimbledon this year.

I see Superbowl has come round again. It seems like only a year ago they had the last one.

I’ve never really got on with USA sports that go on too long and have constant interruptions. I much prefer Test Match Cricket.

I gather that in some of them you can’t even have a well earned draw!
