Not many people are aware that KDE computer desktop software was begun in the late sixties as can be seen by the last vestiges of the original code such as the choice of Imperial for UK measurements despite metrication from 1973.
Searching online there doesn’t appear to be the necessary enthusiasm to change things.
You can get metric by selecting Netherlands but that confuses software. It does make it hard to recommend KDE to anyone in the UK under 60.
