There’s possibly interesting psychology to be done on the effectiveness of Crowdfunding ‘early bird’ offers. I generally don’t back a project if I’m too late to take advantage of them as I can’t help but feel penalised for missing out.
Though they’re designed to give a boost at launch I wonder to what extent they achieve that? Is it just projects that would have been successful anyway giving away money?
And as for stretch goals derailing an otherwise sound project…
