I found a Telegraph article from last month on Grenada’s athletes training near ‘Orsham
‘at the local athletics track which is situated in what appears to be the world’s largest Tesco car park’.
And on asking if they’d had a chance to sample the local delights such as, ‘Horsham’s famed A281 north intersection?’
“Well,” he says eventually, “I have been to Tesco.”
Pretty accurate reporting of the area actually. Though it omitted the Council had planned to knock the sports centre down & not replace it as its Olympic legacy. Unusually for the staunchly Conservative area the people revolted and have been promised a new one.
To give an idea of how Conservative the area is the last time a non-Tory was elected as the local MP was in the 1890s.
